Asbury United Methodist, established in 1771, has long been a welcoming community. We strive to follow the example of Christ, grow in love, and welcome into full fellowship persons of every race, gender, culture, nationality, sexual orientation or gender identity, economic circumstance, age, physical and mental ability, family and marital status. We affirm that all persons are individuals of sacred worth.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What should I wear?
We welcome everyone to come as they are. On Sundays you’ll find some who are dressed in their Sunday best, but you’ll also find others in jeans and t-shirts. Whatever you’re wearing, we’ll be glad to see you!
What if I have small children?
We welcome families with small children to attend Sunday service with us. During the service, we provide a crib room for children under 4, and offer Sunday School classes for children Pre-K through 6th grade. Children are released from the service for Sunday School after the peace.
What do you have for adults?
We have a full range of opportunities for adults at all stages of life to meet together on Sundays and throughout the week— Men’s and Women’s groups, Bible Study groups, to name just a few. Learn more about our groups.
